Hostels in the part of Sydney called “Central” are a good place to base because it’s safe, packed with backpacking Sydney packers, and the Central train station is nearby — makes it a snap to see the sights, hop to clubs or get outtake town (and find someone to hang with). Of the three hostels we like located near the train station.
